Units for dimensions, volume and weight
Cube-IQ5.1allows you to set the units of length, volume and weight for each data item (Product, Container, Settings, Load) separately. These units are used for all data display and updates. Units can be changed on the fly, with either a request for confirmation ('Convert data on change of units', in Options), or, for Loads, automatic conversion.
If you prefer to work in a single set of units, you can make the change of units option invisible on the General tab of the main Options tab.
When any new item gets created (Container, Product or Settings record), the Default Units from Options will be used.
Length unit - can have the following values: 'cm', 'm', 'mm', 'inch', or 'ft'.
Volume unit - can have the following values: 'cu.inch', 'cu.ft', 'board feet', 'cm3', 'm3', 'mm3',
Weight unit - can have the following values: 'lbs', 'kg', or 'tonnes'.
If data in other units is imported into the system, you an either accept the incoming units, or convert, depending on your selection on the Import Screen:
